Hello everyone, I am Ba Hai Nguyen from Hocdelam Group. I am working with NI motion board (7356, 74xx, so on) for three years and I got a coupble of times facing to this error from MAX. Normally, when you try to initialize the motion board in MAX. MAX software will ask you to update the firmware and this error happens at this step. How to solve it?
First, there is a message from MAX telling us that -70035 (NIMC_WatchdogTimeoutError) A fatal error has occurred on the controller. You must reset the controller by power cycling your computer. Contact National Instruments Technical Support if this problem persists. And, I have tried to send my board to NI Korea, since I am studying & working in Korea. The engineers from NI Korea send me a bill for board repairment. It is estimated to cost about 1000USD, (a new Motion board cost from 1500 to 4000USD). That is really a hard time for our Lab since we have 3 boards which have the same problems. I throght again and decided to get back the board without repairment. I try to search from Internet at that time (2006), it turns out nobody know how to fix this error. I was tressful with this and try to find a way to not through the NI motion board in the trashbin. ^^. I found how to fix it. Just reintall everything again.!!!!~! Goodluck!
